I have kept a blog, sporadically for a while now, but have never really made a commitment to it. I recently saw a blog by a friend, dedicated to her craft, and it made me realise that I have quite a lot to say, that I never really get around to saying. Hence, this blog is born. I suppose it really makes sense to start with an introduction to me, so here goes...
My name is Li Carter, and I am a writer, artist and crafter. Basically, I love creating things. I live in sunny South Wales, with my family, and a menagerie of pets, all of whom I love to pieces. I have always loved writing. It is my passion, and I have never wanted to do anything but write.
My art and crafting is something that I began a little later in life. When I was younger, I couldn't draw a stick man. I was told by teachers that I was no good at art, and that I shouldn't bother. I didn't realise until a lot later in my life that I could learn to be able to put the images in my head on to the page. In hindsight, I am glad that my art didn't come easily, as now, I have a chance to truly appreciate it, and am always searching for new ways to create.
Recently, I have learnt to crochet, and am now thoroughly enjoying exploring this as a means of creating. I am also experimenting with sewing and patchwork, and look forward to sharing some of that on here too.
